Sarah Anne Jones is a British actress and producer better than the stage name Suranne Jones. Suranne Jones is an actress and producer from the UK. Suranne Jones became famous for her performance as Ruth Slater, the detective in a procedural police drama 'Scott & Bailey and in addition to Gemma Foster, the GP in a medical thriller 'Doctor Foster.' Born in Chadderton, Greater Manchester, Jones was a member of the Oldham Theatre Workshop and received her BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts from there. Her first stage performance began at the age of eight older, and was the lead character Gloria in the play 'Wait Until Dark'. Her first appearance on screen in 1997, as a character in an episode from "Coronation Street". She returned in 2000 on the soap opera to play Karen McDonald. Following her departure from the ITV soap the show, she appeared in several roles on television programs like 'Vincent "Strictly Confidential" as well as the 'Harley Street'. On the big screen she's appeared in movies such as "Love and a Longshot', 'Broken Hearts', and 'A Christmas Star'.
